Qualico Family Centre (in Assiniboine Park)
The Qualico Family Centre is one of Winnipeg's newest event venues, and this hidden gem is a super venue to host a Wedding, Corporate Event, Anniversary Celebration, Dinner and Dance, Banquet or Birthday. It offers a spacious, open concept which can seat 160 guests (or 250 guests for a standing reception). With glass walls, you can look out over the duck pond and the Assiniboine Park grounds. It also has a nice little lounging area for your guests to take it easy before they head back to the dance floor! This beautiful venue also shares Assiniboine Park with the Leo Mol Sculpture Garden, English Garden, and the Pavilion patio - making it a great reception venue after your wedding ceremony in the Park (don't forget we can supply microphones or music for your wedding ceremony!)The food we have experienced here has been great. This room is beautiful by itself, but also looks super with additional lighting such as uplights, our Monogram In Lights ("gobo"), and dance floor lighting (and that really makes it look slick from the outside as you can see)! We used green uplights to accent the bride's candy buffet, wedding cake, and head table. The Qualico Family Centre also has quite a bit of light sage green as their own decorative color, so this worked out beautifully!
